Maths post: Algorithms

In maths, we have been learning to do multiplication algorithms. We learned the Standard way and the expanded way. I Like using the standard way. To work out the problem above (using the standard way) You do this:

Working: 8x3 = 24, then you do 8x50= 400
400+24= 424

Subtraction Algorithm Example

To do an addition algorithm you do this:

   2   4  5 

Working: 3+2=5, 5+9= 14, 1+1=2 (the small 1 is the 10 from the 14)
